We are a base for a number of churches that work in a partnership with us to minister into a number of churches in Zimbabwe, we have food drops regularily where we partner with other churches and take food and much neede supplies to our partners in the country...
Zimbabwe Food Relief In August 2007, Urban Life Church in Midrand pioneeres and coordinated an initiative to take food parcels to the needy churches in Zimbabwe. NCCN started partnering with them in the Decamber of "07 and has since delivered at least 50tons(May'09) of food and medical supplies to churches mailny in the eastern side of the country. This has not only sustained God's people in a time of famine, but has also provided an amazing outreach opportunity for many folk in the church. Strong inter-church friendships have been formed, creating a platform for ongoing ministry into the future... Some testimonies.... In the end we distributed food to the elders of 12 churches in which 300 families are represented. God envisioned us during this time; His gracious hand of favour was upon us; and His presence went with us. My experience of the trip far exceeded my expectations. I feel God's Friendship more today than I did before I left. Jesus said "You are my friends if you do whatever I command you" Jn 15;14 Our mission in going to Zimbabwe was to deliver food to people in a desparate situation and to be a blessing to the churches that are struggling. Well, we did deliver the food and I trust that we were a blessing to them, but we both came away with something deeper in our hearts than when we left. It was a humbling experience to see such faith and joy in God's people who are in such a difficult and seemingly hopeless situation.... I don't think that you can realistically know how many lives you touch when you go into an area that is in need, but more importantly what the Lord does for you in your own life. God needs to get all the glory since it is He who enables and equips us, and all we have to do is be obedient. Whilst I found that the food is desparately needed, the people are still joyful and could teach us alot about trust and faith. It was both a good and intense few days with personal revelations by the Holy Spirit
